Braynechild is a software development firm based in San Francisco, CA with its sister company CMIL - our R&D lab based in Cebu, Philippines. Braynechild was founded by Nathan Flores and Daniel Guinan with the goal of helping others build robust software and next generation web applications.

Braynechild's mission is to have your organization meet its software engineering and R&D objectives by developing technology platforms that either create new business opportunities or provide optimized advantages over current alternatives. We accomplish this by forming collaborative partnerships with you to create intelligent, scalable, high quality software with deep market application.

about the founders


Daniel Guinan
Daniel is a highly experienced software engineer and computer scientist. He has helped develop the Java language platform at Javasoft, and was key in developing XML standards at his previous company Nanobiz which led to its acquisition by Verisign. Daniel is an expert with many technologies, languages, and platforms. He has several patents in the areas of electronic commerce, security, and web transaction processing. Daniel holds degrees in Computer Science from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.


Nathan Flores
Nathan began his software career conducting research in the areas of distributed computing at Net21-a next generation internet research initiative within UC Berkeley. His work led him to help develop underwriting systems for the financial services industry which has given him extensive experience in designing and implementing critical business systems. These skills have translated well for Nathan into the business community where he is heavily involved. Above all, Nathan brings passion and vision for Braynechild's software and business development practice. Nathan holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
